I've always wanted to learn guitar because music is a passion of mine. There was one problem, I had no actual guitar. When i heard Michael LaForce was giving out free lessons I knew i had to somehow take advantage of that, only my parents for some reason wouldn't allow me to do that, and how could I with out a guitar regardless? I asked to borrow one of my friends guitars for one afternoon and told my parents I was staying for band, because otherwise there was no way I'd ever get to learn. I went to a lesson once with LaForce, and it was quite interesting. I learned basic things, such as the string names a chromatic scale, and how to play Smoke On The Water. I didn't ever really get to go again and for a while due to other activities and practices after school. I didn't think i'd pick up a guitar again, but when my parents finally got one and yet still refused to allow me to attend the lessons. I continued my own personal learning and have gotten quite alright with the time allotted.
Learning Outcome: #8 As a musician a developed new skills in a new instrument other than the Clarinet.
