I'm not an artist by any means. I can't draw, I'm not even that great when it comes to coloring between the lines. I like to draw and color, but i'm not that great at it. I learned about this project from Petree , it was something i wasn't aware happened. It was a great idea and i learned an easy way to draw and paint that was pretty amazing, especially since i'm not that great at it. With a transparency and a canvas, i helped draw, and fill in the background of and parts of the inside of the lines. Filling in a background in one solid color was not entirely difficult. I remember attempting to work on this during school and then having to come up over the weekend in attempts to finish what we could for these guys. At the banquet-like thing I learned more about the whole ordeal and what it was all about, and how these guys were shown appreciation.
Learning Outcome #8 is stated as: Developed new skills. New artistic skills and new possible ways to create a piece with out having to be a beastly artist.
Learning Outcome #7 is stated as: Considered the ethical implications of their actions. This was a great way to show appreciation to firemen, police, and emergency technicians how amazing they are, and how they've helped many people.
Learning Outcome #4 is stated as: Worked collaboratively with others. While some people drew, others painted backgrounds, and others filled some of the lines in. I tried to help where I was needed, and tried to be flexible when necessary.
Learning Outcome #2 is stated as Undertake new challenges. Being that i'm not a great artistic talent this was something completely new to me.
