Book Column |__|

This was a lot of fun. Wow. I had a pretty cool experience making this column. I learned a great load making this book column. Firstly ,  the idea that it was art was great. Lots of different things could be considered art as long as it has meaning behind it and this meant a ton of different things to me. This project took more time and thinking that i thought was going to be necessary. It was a group effort between a small amount of us. Jaci and Christina did a load of the designing and making it look appealing to the eye. Megan and I did a bit more of the actual manwork. I was in charge of gluing these on there and placing them onto the shelf , and so did christina megan, and kevin.  Megan was helpful by setting the books up on the table to where placing glue on them and making the process quicker. We had to do great amount of explaining when it came to people asking why we were "wasting books" and comments such as "books are for reading". What they didn't know was that all these books were being thrown out by the school . All were in the trash bin and were taken out by trash diving. It was an artistic statement, it put use to books that were deemed worthless by the school.

Learning Outcome #6 is stated as: Engaged with issues of global importance. I feel this was an issue of global importance because a great deal of people around the world , and schools do just throw away their materials such as books, when they could be put to greater use. It brought the issue to peoples attentions when they comments about how us being the ones wasting the books, and when we explained to them the true ordeal.

Learning Outcome #4 is stated as: Worked collaboratively with others. When we started this out we had no actual plan but by the second week we all had our posts and positions of how we would work on things and who was in charge of what. Neither of us imposed on the others without some sort of respect and we worked together to get it done as quickly and amazing as it could possibly be.
