Plane Crash Simulation

This has been one of the BEST experiences i've had cas wise. It was so much more fun than i expected. having woken up grudgingly and extremely sick with second thoughts bout just not showing up, i was so glad i did. It was well worth it. I'd never even heard of this, and to find out it was an annual thing I'm excited to do it again next year. It was a huge collaboration in the community because not only did they have to have the police, firemen, "crash victims" , EMT's, committed to this, the art school students had to as well. They had to practice and learn how to create very realistic looking burns , cuts, bruises, and shrapnel in  a person. This was interesting to me because these injuries very much so looked real. The process itself was quite interesting. I also learned that if your not screaming in agony you wouldn't get taken care of very quickly. It is a bit alarming to see how long it took these people to get everyone taken care of.

Learning Outcome #6 is stated as: Engaged with issues of global importance. Its important to know and be ready for huge possibilities such as plane crashes, because they could happen anywhere. Sometimes practice in such events can make them go smoother.

Learning Outcome #2 is stated as “Undertake new challenges.” This was  a new interesting thing for me. Because this was more based on having the firemen, police, etc.etc. Have practice for them it was something to be learned. It wasn't entirely based on the "crash victims" learning what to do , but also for the medics to practice what they have to do.
