Tink Tink - Summer

This poor baby.
Day1: Research is telling me that if she's gonna live/make it, she's gotta make it through the night. My brother and I wrapped her as straight as i could. =\ she was peeping like crazy when we touched her leg.

Day2: she made it but i have to hold her while she eats or else she stands on her leg wrong and she won't drink water on her own so i have to wet her beak.
Day3: i no longer have to force feed her water, she drinks it on her own and its really cool how , i never knew how they physically drank it. I have a feeling she may not get her second legs function back =[
Day 5: She has made amazing progress and i'm so happy. She's beginning to us her broken leg for functions such as not tipping over and scratching her head a complete difference from a practically dead leg. I think she will make it.

"we go up onstage every night and look like the most dangerous cupcakes in the world"
"some things aren't so cool, like how the fans have changed. You get a lot more 'gerard is so hot, rather than people screaming out for songs. but htats okay because either those people will grow up and reazlise what they love about the band or they won't be here and thats fine with me.
7/17
she's beeen opening and shutting her mouth like she got something stuck in her throat for a few days now
Today i saw a piece of string wedged in between her bottom cheek
i think its the cause of it
it took a while to take out but she eventually let it go
She stopped opening and clamping her beak :3

7/23 HUGE freak out, i've taken her outside before into the front lawn but today while doing the laundry i took her out to the backyard , She ate a few bug, at first she started making sneezing motions and sounds, so i wasn't entirely worried, but then she started spazzing out and i got extremely worried, luckily since my mom has lived on a ranch before she helped me act quick and said if she ate a bad poisonous bug that i had to force feed her lemon juice to eliminate as much as possible and we gave her a cool bath , for a few good minutes we were scared we were gonna lose her, but she's good now and walking around a bit more feearful than usual but more her normal self than before.

Keeping up a daily diary of tinktink's ongoings is a huge hassle simply because she always gets into so much every day.She has grown so much. She has also grown on me. She can be a spoiled brat, but caring when she wants to. This chick has taught me so much about chickens and how they act and interact. This reminded me of why i wanted so badly to become a vet, and why i plan to continue on this path.

Learning Outcome #8 is stated as: Developed new skills. I have developed new skills in how to take care of animals such as chickens. Like how to try and help with it healing its leg. Or how to decontaminate its throat and belly from the poisonous bug it ate. I've learned how to try and remain calm when huge problems like these arise.
Learning Outcome #5 is stated as: Shown perseverance and commitment in their activities. Even after this chick got better I knew that if i returned her A] The other chickens would reject her due to her prolong ed absence. B] My cousins would most likely eat her. One way or another she would end up dying sooner than necessary and all would be in vain. I've kept her and constantly take care of her every day. Its project that keeps going , and won't be ending anytime soon.
Learning Outcome #3 is stated as: Planned and initiated activities. When i saw what had happened to the poor thing i took it upon myself to make sure she made a full recovery.
Learning Outcome #2 is stated as “Undertake new challenges.” I'd never had to heal an animal myself, nor taken care of a farm animal in my life. This was a whole new experience for me to have a pet chicken as opposed to my hamsters and dogs.
Learning Outcome #1 is stated as “Increased their awareness of their own strengths and areas for growth.” it increased my mental strength in pursuing the career that i initially planned for.
