To Write Love On Her Arms

This kinda thing hits home for me. Seeing people harm themselves was a huge problem for me to see happening, and it happened quite often. When i heard about this cause I knew it was something i wanted to bring to the school and make as huge of an ordeal of as possible. A couple friends and I wanted to make sure it wouldn't be a problem with the school. I asked Mr. Ned for permission and acceptance of the cause and what we'd be doing. When approved I spread the news wherever I could. A group of friends and I even made personal t-shirts all saying Love in different languages such as greek, spanish, japanese, english, french, and Italian. The day of we gathered as many people as we could and also wrote it on our arms. We encouraged and even got teachers into it. Personally i saw it as a huge success and I hope that it continues throughout the years.
Learning Outcome #7 is stated as: Considered the ethical implications of their actions. Going about this in the way we did , was not a huge protest, nor a boycotting of anything. It was a way to bring attention to a situation that needed it with out disrupting with huge massive things.
Learning Outcome #6 is stated as: Engaged with issues of global importance. Suicide is an issue that effects everyone everywhere. This brought an emphasis to this issue for at the very least, the small community at the school.
Learning Outcome #3 is stated as: Planned and initiated activities. While this wasn't entirely individually initiated, not much focus was on it, and I attempted to bring attention to it. Planning also includes getting shirts, paint, making shirts, getting permission and following through with it.
