Invisible Children

Having already heard about the Invisible Children situation, i didn't learn that much more from the last screening except the updates. But I did learn more about the groupies. After helping Kevin setup and take apart their setup in the auditorium we got to meet and talk with them personally. The things that these people go through just to spread the word of the ongoings of these invisible children with no actual personal gain other than knowing they are making a difference, are amazing. They are in this cramped van with merchandise whose profits all go to the cause constantly traveling. Its like being in a low budget band constantly touring, not always entirely sure about the gig and how things will go over or if it'll even make much of a difference but doing it anyways. I learned more about not just the cause but the things these guys are willing to go through to spread the word.
Learning Outcome #6 is stated as: Engaged with issues of global importance. The problems in Uganda are very much everyones problem and of global importance and doing  the very least i can to help these guys out, even just setting up tables and helping with mikes, and set up their small merch stands is  better than nothing. Especially with their time constraints , having their stuff setup for when they get there is extremely helpful.
